cape town is unreasonable in how much it has. you can hike a mountain in the morning, swim in the ocean by lunch, drink syrah in stellenbosch by sunset. budget extra days for the cape peninsula drive. chapman's peak, boulders beach (penguins), cape point. add 2 days for safari nearby (kruger if you have time, sanbona is closer). dollars go far here. november–march is summer; april and october are also great.
